    The Hitachi TagmaStore AMS (Adaptable Modular Storage) series offers SAN solutions for entry-level to enterprise requirements. The entry-level AMS200 featured 2 Gbps fiber channel host connectivity and supported up to 105 FC or 90 SATA drives and was primarily targeted at the SMB market. The AMS2500, however, was designed for the corporate market, with fiber channel (8 Gbps) and iSCSI (1 Gbps) host interfaces and a total capacity of 480 SAS or SATA disks. The entire range of AMS storage platforms featured fully redundant, non-disruptive replaceable hardware components and microcode updates. Combined with Hitachi's range of SAN software packages, including remote copy, point in time replication and thin provisioning and LUN scaling, AMS systems provide a flexible and resilient SAN solution for many customers.

    The AMS200, AMS500 and AMS1000 have already passed the end of life (EOL) dates, but they can still be a viable solution for less critical environments or as archiving platforms. The variety of AMS2xxx storage arrays is approaching its end of life dates, but are still able to provide access to high throughput and low latency data.     Hitachi Thunder 9500 V storage platforms ranged from small-scale, single-compartment Fiber Channel disk implementations to medium-bay SATA and Fiber Channel disk systems with up to 30 expansion drawers. They all support multiple RAID levels for performance and resiliency and dual controller configurations to maintain data availability. With 2 Gbps FC host connectivity, mirrored CACHE and hot-swappable replaceable hardware components, the Thunder 9500 V series is a flexible and resilient SAN solution. With a series of optional system replication software packages, SAN-to-SAN replication for LUN size expansion and support for multiple host operating systems, the Thunder 9500 V series of arrays was a flexible and efficient storage solution. 

    The Thunder 9500V series reached end of life (EoL) in early 2013, but that does not mean that it is no longer a viable storage platform. Although the performance of these systems may be out of date compared to modern SANs, they still have the ability to support less intensive IO requirements or be used as a viable and reliable data archiving platform.
