EMC VNXe3100 Description
The VNXe3100 Storage Processor Enclosure (SPE) enables VNXe3100 customers to grow their business by expanding the storage capacity of the system. The intuitive design of the VNXe3100 allows you to easily add new disks that can be used to expand existing storage pools or create new ones. The VNXe3100 allows you to add any combination of SAS or NL-SAS to achieve certain storage capacities or performance metrics. As a unified storage system, data can be shared over SAN for applications and NAS for CIFS or NFS shares. The VNXe3100 is a high-performance, dense, high-capacity I/O storage system in a small 2U form factor.
The entry-level VNXe3100 offers storage over an IP network. Designed for small and medium-sized businesses, the VNXe3100 supports iSCSI, CIFS, and NFS protocols while maintaining its small form factor. The VNXe3100 is also great for companies with remote branch offices interested in consolidating storage from Exchange, VMware, Hyper-V, and file servers, as well as for IT administrators who do not have specific knowledge of storage. The VNXe3100 provides a consolidated platform for provisioning, managing, and monitoring application data storage across organizations and networks of all sizes. Each storage system provides highly efficient iSCSI block storage and highly affordable file-based storage to enable users to work with files and data over network connections.
