Built on the Gen8 capabilities of the ProActive Insight architecture, the HP BL660c Gen8 delivers improvements in performance, memory, networking, I/O, storage, and management.
It supports up to four E5-4600 processors, up to four 10 Gb FlexFabric ports with the Gen8 FlexibleLOM solution, and 1.0 TB of Gen8 HP SmartMemory (SmartMemory uses less power but no performance impact) and comes with three PCIe 3.0 expansion slots (two x 16, one x 8).
The integrated Gen8 Smart Array P220i RAID controller supports HP Smart Storage and SmartDrive carrier, as well as a wide selection of SAS, SATA, SAS SSD, and SATA SSD hot plug hard drives.
With all this infrastructure in one box, you can handle virtualization, database, business processing, decision support, and HPC applications that demand more data.
