Product Description Dell PowerEdge R210 CTO Rack Server
The ultra-compact Dell PowerEdge R210 one-socket is an excellent first rack server for small businesses or as a specialized application server for large enterprises.
The Dell PowerEdge R210 is built with an intentional design, power-optimized technology, simplified systems management and the flexibility that makes it a great first rack server for small businesses or as a specialized application server or edge server for large enterprises.
Dell’s 1U 1-socket rack server, the PowerEdge R210, delivers value, the performance of Intel Xeon 3400 series processors, DDR3 memory, eSATA external storage expandability, and enterprise-class manageability. Dell aims to add value to your business, including the features you need, without too many unnecessary extras. We aim to add value through customized solutions based on industry standards, as well as the innovative and purposeful design of our servers. The PowerEdge R210 is designed to meet the needs of many IT environments with a compact, reliable design, optional advanced systems management features and energy efficiency.
Intentional Design
The PowerEdge R210 follows the specifications of the 11th Gen PowerEdge portfolio and features the same common system design and reliability that is true to our entire portfolio. All 11th Gen PowerEdge servers are built to make your experience easier. We put all exterior ports, power supplies, and LED lights in the same location for a family-friendly experience as well as easy installation and deployment.
Robust metal hard drive carriers and organized cabling are designed to help improve component access and airflow in the server. The design of the PowerEdge R210 also provides an LED display positioned on the front of the server for easy monitoring and troubleshooting of server conditions. It is designed to meet the needs of many IT environments with a short chassis to enable flexible deployment almost anywhere, including space-constrained environments.
Deliver powerful performance
Accelerate computing performance across a wide range of applications with a processor from the latest Intel Xeon processor E3-1200 v6 product family. 50% faster clock speed with improved DDR4 memory compared to DDR3, which is 12.5% faster than the initial 2133 MT/s implementation of DDR4. Increase I/O data transfer rate with 2 PCIe 3.0 slots generating 2x data transfer rates compared to PCIe 2.0. Deliver 2x the IOPS performance with R230/PERC9 compared to the previous generation R220/PERC8.
Energy-optimized technology
The PowerEdge R210 incorporates the Energy Smart design using a 250-watt power supply, highly efficient fans and logical layout of the internal components that assist in directing airflow, helping to keep the server cool and reduce noise as much as possible. The result is a server with the lowest power consumption in the 11th Gen PowerEdge server portfolio.
Simplified systems management
With the optional advanced embedded systems management capabilities of the Lifecycle Controller, Dell offers comprehensive enterprise-class manageability for the 1-socket space. The Lifecycle Controller is provided as part of the optional iDRAC Express or iDRAC Enterprise on the PowerEdge R210. Lifecycle Controller helps simplify administrator tasks by performing a comprehensive set of provisioning functions such as system deployment, system updates, hardware configuration, and diagnostics from a single, intuitive interface called Unified Server Configurator (USC) in a pre-OS environment. This helps eliminate the need to use and maintain multiple pieces of discrete CD/DVD media.
