Lenovo Disk D3284

The Lenovo D3284 External High Density Drive Expansion Drawers scale to multiple Petabytes (PB), ideal for capacity-optimized configurations. The Lenovo D3284 Expansion Drawer (Machine Type 6413) allows daisy chaining with the D1212 and D1224 Expansion Drawers. A single chain can support up to two D3284 and two D1212 units, or one D1224.

Versatile, the D3284 expansion drawers can be used with Lenovo servers as direct-attached storage (DAS) or as an expansion for Lenovo ThinkSystem DS4200 and DS6200 storage systems.

Each D3284 drive drawer supports up to 84 hot-swap 3.5-inch drives. Supported drive types include NL SAS HDDs and SAS SSDs. Fourteen (14) NL-SAS HDD drive packages are available to meet new capacity expansion configuration requirements. It is important to note that some 14-unit package capacities are subject to allocation and may require a seven (7) day lead time for shipment.
