HP BladeSystem C3000 CTO Chassis with 6 ROHS Fans
A BladeSystem c3000 Enclosure holds up to 8 server blades and up to 4 expansion blades (not to exceed the total of 8 blades) plus redundant networking and storage interconnects. This flexibility allows you to optimize the use of space and consolidate IT resources. Includes a high-speed, multi-terabit shared midplane for single blade server connectivity for networking and shared storage. The midplane acts as the backbone of the system, facilitating high-speed communication between the blades and the interconnect modules. Power is supplied via a pooled power back panel that ensures the full capacity of the power supplies is available for all blades. This provides redundancy and ensures continuous availability of resources, even in the event of a power supply failure.
Use Example: A small-to-medium data center can utilize the c3000 enclosure to consolidate application servers, web servers, and database servers into a single chassis, reducing footprint and simplifying management.

Each c3000 enclosure is built with the following functions:
- Up to 8 half-height server blades, 4 full-height server blades, and/or 4 expansion blades per cabinet (not to exceed the total of 8 blades). This combination allows the system to be adapted to the specific needs of each environment. For example, full-height blades can be used for applications that require increased processing power or memory.
- Up to 2 redundant I/O interconnect fabrics (Ethernet, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, SAS, etc.) supported simultaneously within the enclosure. Redundancy in the interconnections ensures high availability of the system. The flexibility to support different interconnection technologies allows you to adapt the system to the existing infrastructure.
- Ethernet: For standard network connectivity.
- Fibre Channel: For connectivity to Storage Area Networks (SANs).
- iSCSI: For IP-based storage connectivity.
- SAS: For direct connectivity to storage devices.
- A single-phase power subsystem for flexibility in connecting data center power, UPSs, or low-line wall outlets (100 VAC to 110 VAC). CAUTION: When connecting directly to wall outlets, customers should determine the maximum amperage of the wall outlet circuit to avoid power overload. It is crucial to ensure that the outlet capacity is sufficient to support the maximum consumption of the cabinet, including all blades and interconnect modules.
- Choice of AC power supplies. We offer power supplies with different levels of energy efficiency to optimize energy consumption and reduce operating costs.
- PARSEC Enclosure Design – Parallel, redundant, and scalable airflow and cooling design. The PARSEC design ensures that each component receives adequate cooling, even under high load conditions. Redundancy in the cooling system ensures that the system continues to operate even in the event of a fan failure.
- Up to six (6) HP Active Cool 100 hot-plug fans. Hot-plug fans can be replaced without the need to shut down the system, minimizing downtime.
- Redundant hot-plug cooling, redundant hot-plug power supplies, redundant connections, redundant interconnect modules, and optional redundant BladeSystem Onboard Administrator management module. Redundancy at all levels of the system ensures high availability and business continuity. Onboard Administrator enables centralized system management, making it easy to set up, monitor, and troubleshoot.
