EqualLogic PS5000XV Description
Dell EqualLogic PS5000XV is a virtualized iSCSI SAN that combines intelligence and automation with fault tolerance to provide simplified administration, rapid deployment, seamless scalability, enterprise performance and reliability. When loaded with 15,000 SAS drives, the PS5000XV array delivers high transactional performance with up to 4.8 TB of storage capacity. All PS Series storage arrays include SAN configuration features and capabilities that detect network topology, automatically create RAID sets, and conduct system health checks to help ensure that all components are fully functional.
The PS5000XV array is based on a virtualized modular storage architecture that allows IT managers to purchase only the storage they need, when they need it – helping to avoid underutilization and overprovisioning. All PS Series arrays in a SAN work together to automatically manage data, load balance across all resources, and scale to meet growing storage needs. The PS5000XV includes fault tolerance capabilities through fully redundant and hot-swappable components – dual controllers, standard dual fan trays, dual power supplies, and disk drives with hot spares. The PS5000XV’s dual controllers provide a total of 2GB of battery-backed memory with up to 72 hours of data protection.
