The VNX5300 provides file functionality (NAS) through X-Blade data movers and block storage (iSCSI, FCoE, and FC) through dual storage processors, leveraging the 6 Gbps SAS disk drive topology. VNX5300 allows you to start with even block or file functionality and easily upgrade to unified storage when needed.
