The Dell PowerEdge FC640 Blade delivers powerful performance processors, large memory capacity and highly scalable I/O capacity that meet the needs of virtualization, server consolidation, scale-out, private cloud or hybrid cloud.
Powerful 2-socket modular architecture server
A flexible two-socket half-height/width compute sled powered by up to two 28-core Intel 2nd Gen Xeon®® Scalable processors, each FC640 supports up to 2TB of DDR4 memory, making it a perfect candidate for dense virtualization environments, software-defined storage, databases, HPC, big data analytics, and private cloud workloads. FC640 storage options include two 2.5-inch drives, with a choice of NVMe PCIe SSDs for high-performance direct-attached storage requirements. The FX2 chassis supports up to four FC640 servers. SDS environment support now includes VMware vSAN with the HBA330 controller.
