    Dell EqualLogic systems use iSCSI through  Gigabit Ethernet or 10 Gigabit Ethernet controllers. EqualLogic systems with 1 Gbit / s connections are PS4100, PS6100 and PS6200, while comparable systems with 10 Gbit / s Ethernet connections are PS4110, PS6110 and PS6210. There have been several previous generations, and as long as you update the software on your older systems, they will work with the latest models released.

    This capability allows the Dell EqualLogic platform to be combined with up to 16 arrays per group. A group can combine different members, including, as mentioned, several generations of hardware, as well as different types of RAID.
