The HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen10 Server delivers 4P computing in an expandable 4U form factor and supports up to four Intel Xeon Platinum and Gold processors that deliver up to 11% performance gain per core [5] over first generation scalable Intel Xeon processors .

Up to 48 DIMM slots supporting up to 6TB for 2933 MT/s HPE DDR4 SmartMemory. HPE DDR4 SmartMemory improves workload performance and energy efficiency, while reducing data loss and downtime with improved error handling.

Up to 12TB of HPE Persistent Memory [6] that works with DRAM to provide fast, high-capacity, cost-effective memory and increase computing power for memory-intensive workloads such as structured data management and analytics.

Support for Intel Speed ​​Technology ​​Select processors that provide configuration flexibility and granular control over CPU performance and VM density-optimized processors that allow support of more virtual machines per host.

Remarkable scalability and availability ​​for various workloads

The HPE ProLiant DL580 Gen10 server has a flexible processor tray that allows you to scale from one to four processors as needed, saving on upfront costs, and the flexible drive bay design supports up to 48 small form factor (SFF) SAS / SATA drives and a maximum of 20 NVMe units.

The 4-port NVMe mezzanine card installs on top of the HPE DL5x0 Gen10 CPU Mezzanine Card Kit (872222-B21) or HPE DL5x0 Gen10 Version 2 CPU Mezzanine Card Kit (P07991-B21) and requires configuration of three or four processors.
    • Each NVMe port (slot) supports 2 NVMe drives.
    • A maximum of 1 primary, 1 secondary (includes tertiary) riser can be installed on one server.
    • Internal storage controllers and SAS expanders are only supported on the primary and tertiary risers. Not supported on secondary riser.
    • HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID will operate in UEFI mode only. For legacy support an additional controller will be required and for CTO orders also select the legacy mode settings part, 758959-B22.
    • HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID is disabled by default and must be enabled. To enable, select HPE FIO Enable Smart Array SW RAID (784308-B21).
    • The HPE Trusted Platform Module 2.0 option (864279-B21) works with Gen10 servers with UEFI mode and not legacy mode. The Trusted Platform Module 2.0 option can be set to version 1.2 through the UEFI BIOS to support TPM 1.2 functionality.
    • HPE server systems can have a TPM module (of any type) installed only once. It cannot be replaced by any other TPM module.
