3. The Windows 7, 8.1 presiding directly on the system (ie “bare metal OS”), is only compatible with HPE Flex-10 10Gb 2 ports 536FLB with basic networking functions only. The ProLiant WS460c Gen9 server includes the HPE SmartDrive hot-plug small form factor (SFF) carrier for improved manageability and reduced maintenance errors. HPE drives from previous generation servers (prior to Gen8) are not compatible with ProLiant WS460c Gen9 drive bays.
