VNX5300 Disk Processor Enclosure (DPE) is a high-performance unified storage system based on a modular architecture that integrates block, file, and object hardware components with concurrent support for native NAS, iSCSI, Fiber Channel, and FCoE protocols. The VNX5300 offers file functionality (NAS) through X-Blade data movers and block storage (iSCSI, FCoE and FC) through dual storage processors leveraging the full 6Gbps SAS disk drive topology. The VNX5300 lets you start with block or file functionality and easily upgrade to unified storage when needed.
